Grant Veltman won at second singles on Saturday

Denison sophomore Grant Veltman picked up six victories last week, helping the Big Red to three victories in Hilton Head S.C.

Veltman went 3-0 in both singles and doubles action in wins over Rhodes (8-1), Bridgewater (9-0) and Dickinson (6-3).  The sophomore posted a pair of wins at No. 3 singles and a third victory at the top flight.  In his first match at No. 1 singles, Veltman defeated Dickinson's Will Golinkin 7-5, 6-2.  He is now 8-5 in singles play and boasts a team-best four-match winning streak.

Veltman also teamed with junior Juan Guerra for a trio of wins at first doubles.  The Big Red duo is currently riding a six-match winning streak.  They also rank sixth in the Central Region with a 7-2 record.

Denison returns to action today (March 19) at Ohio Wesleyan.  Match time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
