GRANVILLE, Ohio -- The Denison men's tennis team landed four athletes on 2017 All-North Coast Athletic Conference squad. That quartet was highlighted by sophomores Kevin Brown and Blake Burstein who received special recognition by the league.

Brown and Burstein were crowned the NCAC's inaugural Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Year after posting an 11-5 record at the top doubles flight. That record included a perfect 7-0 record against NCAC opponents in regular season matches. The duo also rattled off nine-straight doubles wins from March 21-April 28. The first-team honor is Brown's second straight, while Burstein earned all-league recognition for the first time in his career.

In addition to his doubles honor, Brown also garnered first-team singles honors for the second year in a row. Last year's NCAC Newcomer of the Year went 11-12 on the year which included a 7-11 mark at the top flight. He was also 2-4 in matches against regionally-ranked foes.

Junior Jamie McDonald received his second-consecutive second-team All-NCAC honor after going 11-8 on the season, highlighted by a 9-6 mark at second singles. McDonald closed out the year on a four-match winning streak while also posting a 9-3 record in his final 12 singles matches.

Senior Owen Smith closed out his collegiate career with honorable mention all-league honors. Smith posted a 13-11 record in his final season, which included a 12-8 mark in dual-match play. The senior posted an impressive 12-5 record in his final 17 matches this season and went a perfect 2-0 against regionally-ranked opponents in 2017.
