CLEVELAND, Ohio – Junior Ben Foster was recognized by the North Coast Athletic Conference on Monday afternoon as the NCAC Athlete of the Week following his excellent performance at the Bob Shannon Invitational this past Saturday in Granville.
Helping Denison place second overall this past weekend, Foster led the Big Red with a pair of top five's in the one mile and 800-meter runs. In the mile, Foster posted a new personal best time of 4:25.76 to place second overall and assert himself into the list of top 10 personal records among DU indoor track & field performances. In the 800, Foster paced the Big Red pack with a fifth-place finish and a final time of 2:03.24.
Foster and the Big Red will return to action this Saturday, February 9 when they travel to Salem, Va. to compete in the Roanoke College DIII Challenge.
