No. 19 DePauw ends Denison winning streak

GRANVILLE, Ohio--  Claire Keefe scored 16 and Maya Howard added 15 as No. 19 DePauw posted a 78-29 victory over Denison on Wednesday night at Livingston Gymnasium.  The Tigers improve to 13-3 overall and 7-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference.  Denison falls to 8-7 and 4-3 in conference play.

Denison trailed by 15 at halftime but DePauw turned up the heat in the second half, shooting 64 percent from the field over the final 20 minutes.

Howard was 5-of-10 from the field and 4-of-4 at the free throw line. She also added five assists and two steals.  Keefe scored 16 points and added five rebounds in 22 minutes.  Mya Shannon came off the bench to score 12 points while Hayley Cange led the Tigers with eight rebounds.

Denison was led in scoring by Lauren Longbrake's 12 points and six rebounds on a 5-of-13 shooting performance.  Valesha Province followed with five points, four assists, and six rebounds.

Winners of four of its last five games, the Big Red returns to the court on Saturday (Jan. 12) when they travel to Meadville, Pennsylvania for a 1 p.m. tipoff against Allegheny.
