POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. ⎯ Denison women's fencing competed at the Vassar Invitational on Vassar College's campus in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. The women's team went 4-3 overall on the day, earning victories against Yeshiva (16-4), Fairleigh Dickinson (15-12), Lafayette (19-8), and Haverford (14-13) in its first all-varsity team event.

Denison's women's epée squad dominated with impressive results in Sunday's competition, going 5-2 overall, including a remarkable 7-2 record against Haverford. Senior Hayley LeBlanc continues to earn her keep with a 12-6 record on the day. Fellow senior Tuuli Qin-Terrill held her own with a similarly impressive 11-7 record as well as junior Diyanshu Emandi at 11-8 on the day.

On the foil piste, freshman Nina de Laperouse led her squad with six wins, including a pair of wins against Haverford and Drew. Squadmates Tianying Zhang and Jocelyn Baeza collected two wins each.

In sabre action, junior Sé DiFilippo pulled her weight with an impressive 10-8 record overall. A stand out performer on the squad was Freshman Tessy Udoh who fought hard and chipped in five wins, an outstanding performance for one of the sabre team's newest members.

The Denison women's fencing team will return to action on Sunday, November 24, when they travel to Madison, N.J. to take part in the Drew Invitational.
