GERMANTOWN, Tenn. – Denison women's golf turned in a final-round score of 339 to place fourth overall at the 2019 Rhodes Invitational hosted at the Windyke West Country Club in Germantown, Tenn. on Monday. Finishing with a team score of 706, the Big Red landed 25 strokes ahead of fifth place Millikin (731) and 44 strokes behind Carthage (662) in third place. Berry College took home the tournament championship with a team score of 43-over-par (627).
Improving as a team by 28 strokes from the first round, the Big Red were led by junior Emmy Timberlake who finished with an 80 in the second round to close out the weekend with a +19 in 14th place. Megan Munn followed by one stroke on Monday to finish +24 for the tournament in 19th place.
The Big Red will return to the course on Saturday, April 6 when they travel to Lexington, Ky. to compete in the three-day Transylvania Invitational hosted at the Greenbrier Golf & Country Club.
