GRANVILLE, Ohio-- Denison University landed four players on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Great Lakes All-Region team after capturing another North Coast Athletic Conference Championship and making the program's 20th appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Denison's first-team all-region winners were senior Leah Israel, junior Jane Goodspeed and sophomore Kiely Noonan.  Senior Grace Gavula was named to the second-team.

Israel enters Saturday's NCAA Regional Semifinal at Salisbury with 43 goals, 14 assists, 40 ground balls, 74 draw controls and 27 caused turnovers.  She has posted career-highs in all five categories in 2018. This is her second-straight appearance on the all-region first-team. She was named the NCAC's Midfielder of the Year in 2018.

This is the third-straight first-team all-region award for Goodspeed.  She anchors the Big Red defense with 68 ground balls, 37 caused turnovers and 89 draw controls.  She is the program's all-time leader in caused turnovers and has helped the team rank seventh in ground balls per game (27.89).  Goodspeed was named the NCAC's Defensive Player of the Year in 2018.

Only a sophomore, Noonan is on her way to re-writing the offensive record books at Denison. She leads the team with 72 goals and 28 assists and is the second player in program history to post a 100 point season.  She is just two points shy of passing Cheryl Connolly's single-season record for points (102) set in 1994.

This is the third consecutive second-team all-region nod for Gavula.  The Glenview, Illinois native posted career-highs in ground balls (45) and caused turnovers (26) in 19 games played.

These student-athletes are eligible to be named to the IWLCA All-American team which will be announced in mid-June.

Denison's NCAA Regional Semifinal game against Salisbury will take place on Saturday, May 19 in Salisbury, Maryland at 11:30 a.m.  Watch Live.
