HIRAM, Ohio--  Maggie Armstrong tallied four points in Denison's 5-0 victory over Hiram College on Wednesday night at Henry Field.  The victory moves the Big Red's winning streak to five. It also puts them just one point behind Wooster in the race for the North Coast Athletic Conference.

The Fighting Scots completed conference play this evening with a 3-0 win over Allegheny.  All Denison needs is a tie or a victory over Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday to clinch the program's 10th conference championship.

Armstrong got things started early in the first half off an assist from Liz Gilbert. Despite outshooting the Terriers 15-0 in the first half they entered the intermission leading 1-0.

Twenty-four seconds into the second half, Claire Kolff made it a 2-0 match on a pass from Sam Haseltine.  Four minutes later, Haseltine scored on another assist from Gilbert.

The Big Red tacked on two more goals late in the second half.  Both goals came via assists from Armstrong as Logan Agin and Ariel Lovey converted to give Denison the 5-0 win.

Denison held a convincing 31-0 advantage in shots and a 12-0 lead in corner kicks.  Armstrong led DU in shots with seven.  Madison Smith followed with four.  Patil Tcholakian played 79 minutes in goal while Olivia Robinson finished up the final 11 minutes.

The Big Red enters the final match of the regular season with an 11-2-2 record.
