LEXINGTON, Va.—Denison and Washington and Lee played to a 0-0 tie in a match that was shortened due to thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon.
The match was stopped with 11 minutes remaining in regulation. The two teams had already waited through a lightning delay in the first half.
Denison outshot the Generals 11-8. Washington and Lee held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks. Big Red goalkeeper Patil Tcholakian recorded three saves while her counterpart, Grace Coombs finished with two saves for W&L.
Denison (0-1-1) returns to action on Tuesday when they travel to nearby Westerville, Ohio for its annual clash with Otterbein University at 7 p.m.
