FRANKLIN, Ind.—Powered by three second half goals, Denison women's soccer blanked Franklin College, 4-0 on Wednesday night at Faught Stadium.  The Big Red's four goals were a season-high.

The fun got started in the 12th minute of play when Leland Keller fed a crossing pass to Kelly O'Neill who sent a shot into the back of the net from 10-yards away.

The Big Red kept the offensive pressure dialed up in the second half. After being flagged for a pair of offside penalties, first-year forward Amy Chiero scored her first collegiate goal when she poked in a loose ball off a corner kick that was served into the box by Abby King.

Chiero's goal came in the 66th minute and 11 minutes later, senior Riley Hammond scored from 15-yards out on a feed from Brianna Lisbon.  With two minutes left in the contest, O'Neill scored her second goal of the match when she got a piece of a loose ball off a corner kick by Lisbon.  This is the first multi-goal match of O'Neill's career.

Denison outshot the Grizzlies 26-5 and out cornered them 12-1.  Patil Tcholakian finished with three saves in 84 minutes in goal for Denison.  Franklin goalkeeper Lexi Short had a busy night. She saw 13 shots-on-goal and finished with nine saves in 90 minutes.

O'Neill and Keller led Denison with five shots apiece.  Victoria Nielsen and King followed with four shots each.  Up next, the Big Red will clash with second-ranked Messiah on Saturday (Sept. 21) at 1 p.m. in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
