SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Emily Wile scored two goals, including an OT winner, in Wittenberg's 2-1 North Coast Athletic Conference victory over Denison on Saturday night.

The Big Red broke up the scoreless tie in the 29th minute of play. Sophomore Abby King sent a corner into the box that was punched away by Tiger goalie Kelly Corbin. The ball eventually made it back out to King who unloaded a shot from the left side into the upper right corner at 28:36. The sophomore's sixth goal of the year was the only marker of the first half as Denison entered the break with a 1-0 advantage.

In the 55th minute, an infraction in the box set Wittenberg up with penalty kick. Emily Wile converted on the attempt to knot the match at 1-1 at 54:37. While both teams had opportunities throughout the rest of the period, regulation ended still deadlocked at 1-1.

Less than a minute into overtime, King sent a shot just over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, the Tigers completed the come-from-behind victory off the first set piece of the extra session. Maria Miller sent in a cross from the right side into the center of the box. Wile timed her jump and snuck a header just under the crossbar from nine yards out to end the match at 94:32.

Wittenberg outshot the Big Red 13-7, including a 10-3 advantage in shots on goal. Denison attempted one more corner (4-3), while the Tigers committed twice as many fouls (12-6). DU keeper Patil Tcholakian made eight saves, while Corbin logged two stops.

Denison (7-5-4, 4-1-1 NCAC) will host Hiram on Tuesday (Oct. 29) to for a pivotal conference clash. Kickoff at Barclay-Thomsen Field is scheduled for 7 p.m.
