GRANVILLE, Ohio -- On the heels of their 5-4 win over No. 21 Hope College on Friday night in Granville, the Big Red didn't lose any steam on Saturday afternoon as they swept Kalamazoo College, 9-0, for their second-straight win at the Mitchell Fieldhouse.

The action got started on the doubles courts as No. 1 pairing Lauren Hawley and Emma Alsup earned an 8-3 victory over Maria Franco and Laura Hanselman of Kalamazoo. Megan Hickey and Ashley Hammons defeated Lisa Johnston and Alex Oswalt, 8-5, on the second court, and Courtney Brown and Madeline Hart rounded out the doubles sweep with an 8-1 victory over Sonal Bahl and Maya Srkalovic.

In singles play, Hawley ignited the Big Red with a 6-3, 6-1 No. 1 singles win over Franco, while Alsup won both of her sets 6-2, 6-2 as she defeated Hanselman in the No. 2 matchup.

Denison continued to roll on the third and fourth courts as Hickey only dropped two games in her 6-0, 6-2 win over Johnston, and Hart went 6-1, 6-3 in her defeat of Oswalt.

Securing the shutout in the final two matches, Hammons handed a 6-2, 6-4 defeat to Kalamazoo's Bella Russo in No. 5 singles play and Charlotte Purnode defeated Julia Bachmann, 6-2, 6-1, in No. 6 action.

The Big Red will return to action this Wednesday, March 7 as they travel to Delaware, Ohio to take on Ohio Wesleyan University at 4 p.m.
