KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Following a 6-3 victory over No. 39 Hope College on Saturday, the 30th ranked Denison women's tennis team rounded out their trip to Michigan on Sunday with a 9-0 match sweep over Kalamazoo College at the Markin Center in Kalamazoo, Mich.

Denison's day began with a perfect 3-0 mark on the doubles court, starting with DU's top flight pairing of Lauren Hawley and Emma Alsup defeating Laura Hanselman and Caroline Norton, 8-1. The victory lifted the nation's top-25 tandem to a 4-1 doubles record so far during the dual season.

In No. 2 doubles, Alex Cash and Hannah Cianciola tallied the same score, 8-1, against Kalamazoo's Sonal Bahl and Ella Knight, while Megan Hickey and Ashley Hammons rounded out the doubles sweep on the No. 3 court with an 8-5 victory over Maddy Winarski and Helen Pelak.

In singles action, Hawley recorded a 6-1, 6-0 straight set sweep over Hanselman in the first flight, while Alsup defeated Winarski, 6-1, 6-2, on the No. 2 court.

In the third flight, Cash surrendered only one game to the Hornets in a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Pelak, and Cianciola answered with a No. 4 win over Norton, 6-4, 6-2.

Hickey notched a 6-4, 6-1 win over Bahl on the No. 5 court and Madeline Hart recorded consecutive 6-1 victories against Ella Knight in No. 6 play to complete DU's undefeated performance and earn their third straight victory of the dual season.

Sitting at 3-2 so far during the dual match season, Denison will open conference play on Wednesday, March 6 when they host the Battling Bishops of Ohio Wesleyan University at the Mitchell Fieldhouse. The match is set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
