GRANVILLE, Ohio – The 30th ranked Denison women's tennis team earned their fourth straight win on Wednesday evening, earning a perfect 9-0 sweep of Ohio Wesleyan University at the Mitchell Fieldhouse in Granville, Ohio. This was also their second 9-0 victory in the last four days, previously beating Kalamazoo College on Sunday, March 4 by the same score.

Denison's dominance started on the doubles court when the nationally ranked senior tandem of Lauren Hawley and Emma Alsup tallied an 8-0 victory in No. 1 play over OWU's Ale Coronel-Zegarra and Sydney Simmons. The same occurred on the No. 3 court when Madeline Hart and Devin Gramley swept past Ruthie Silberman and Nicola Randle, 8-0.

The Big Red left doubles competition with a 3-0 advantage after the second flight combo of Alex Cash and Hannah Cianciola took down Diamond Person and Meryl Reams, 8-1.

On the singles court, Hawley highlighted DU's effort in the top flight with a 6-2, 6-1 straight set victory over Coronel-Zegarra.

The Big Red totaled three singles victories of 6-0, 6-0, led by Cash in No. 2 singles with the win over Person, and Megan Hickey staying perfect against Simmons in the fourth flight. Ashley Hammons also earned a 6-0, 6-0 singles win while taking down Rachel Forrest on the No. 6 court.

Denison's team win was rounded out by Cianciola over Reams, 6-0, 6-1, in No. 3 singles and Hart securing a 6-2, 6-0 win against Silberman in No. 5 play.

The Big Red will return to action on Monday, March 18 when they open their spring break trip in Lake Nona, Fla. with a matchup against the University of New Haven.
