CLEVELAND, Ohio – Senior Lauren Hawley was named the North Coast Athletic Conference's Player of the Week for the third time this season after posting four-straight top-flight victories in Denison's sweep of Wittenberg and No. 34 DePauw this past week. This is Hawley's seventh athlete of the week honor for her career.

Helping the Big Red improve to 3-0 in the NCAC West, Hawley and doubles partner Emma Alsup opened the week with No. 1 doubles victory over Wittenberg's Sarah Gallup and Harunya Ravindran, 8-1. Hawley continued her strong play on the singles courts when she helped DU earn a 9-0 victory after taking down Carli Milano, 6-1, 6-2.

Against DePauw, Hawley and Alsup highlighted the 8-1 defeat of the Tigers in top-flight doubles when they pair handed an 8-5 loss to Megan Galle and Sarah Wilder. Hawley also defeated Galle in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-4.

At 13-5 on the season, Hawley and Alsup are currently ranked second in the Central Region and hold strong as the 25th best doubles team in the nation. The Dayton, Ohio native also sits at 8-10 overall in No. 1 singles this season.

Hawley and the Big Red will round out the dual match regular season on Saturday, April 20 when they travel to Lima, Ohio for a 9 a.m. matchup with the University of Northwestern Ohio.
