GRANVILLE, Ohio – Denison's senior doubles team of Lauren Hawley and Emma Alsup have been selected to compete at the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Doubles Championship from May 24-26 at Stowe Stadium in Kalamazoo, Mich. They will open the tournament on Friday, May 24 with a round of 16 matchup against Anjie Kashyap and Sophia Strickland from Johns Hopkins at 3:30 p.m.

Entering the tournament as one of 16 doubles teams, Hawley and Alsup are currently ranked as the ITA's second-best team in the central region after posting an overall record of 21-7 this season, including a 16-5 mark as Denison's top-flight combo in dual match play.

This is Hawley & Alsup's second trip to the NCAA Doubles Championship as a team, last reaching the tournament in 2017 where they suffered a loss in the round of 16.

The senior tandem was recently named the NCAC Doubles Team of the Year for the third-straight season while also earning All-NCAC first-team nods in both singles and doubles.

The winner of Hawley/Alsup and Kashyap/Strickland will play the winner of Kathy Joseph/Sindhu Ravula (UT-Dallas) and Heather Boehm/AnnMartin Skelly (Middlebury) on Saturday at 3 p.m.
