Junior Ashley Putnam (North East, Pa./North East) paced the Denison women's indoor track and field team at the Division III All-Ohio Meet on Saturday at Otterbein College's Clements Center in Westerville, Ohio. The Big Red tallied 10 points at the event.
Putnam finished second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:21.39. Sophomore Anelia Mutafova (Canton, Ohio/Jackson) took seventh in the race, crossing the line at 2:25.52.
At Friday's Kenyon Invite, junior Julie Rotramel (Lexington, Ky./Lafayette) logged a time of 3;20.51 in the 1,000-meter run earning her third place in the event. Following Rotramel was first-year Nicole Prince (Hurricane, W.V./Hurricane) who took sixth in the race with a mark of 3:24.69.
Junior Grace Kaminski (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) crossed the finish line at 2:35.33 which garnered her fourth in the 800 meter, while sophomore Jane Zelenkov (Englewood, Colo./Regis Jesuit) finished eighth in the 400-meter dash with a mark of 1:05.86. Additionally, Denison's 4x400 relay team finished second with a time of 4:33.63.
The Big Red returns to action on Saturday (Feb. 20) when they travel to Bexley, Ohio for the Capital Invitational.
