The Big Red women's indoor track & field team won six events at the Fighting Scots Invitational on Saturday at The College of Wooster.  As a team, Denison compiled 86 points en route to a fourth-place finish.

Senior Michelle Clark and junior Tiffany Davis each recorded victories.  Clark was victorious in the 3,000-meter run after crossing the finish line in 10:41.78.  Davis captured the 60-meter dash crown after checking in at 8.10.

The junior sprinter was also part of two winning relay teams.  Davis along with Kiki Yewer, Aedin Brennan and Beth Armitage won the 4x200 event with a time of 1:49.80.  That foursome also closed out the meet with a victory in the 4x400 relay.  The group finished the race in 4:16.07.

Also collecting wins were Brennan and sophomore Kristen Geary.  Brennan won her second-consecutive triple jump title with a distance of 34-04.25.  The rookie also finished sixth in the shot put with a toss of 32-03.00.  Her distance in shot put ranks ninth on the top performers list.  Geary logged DU's first victory over the day after clearing 9-11.25 in the pole vault.

In addition to her relay wins, Yewer finished fourth in the 200 (27.87) and seventh in the 60-meter dash (8.50).  In the 5,000-meter run, the trio of Abbi Boss, Olivia Galano and Lindsey Studebaker combined for 10 points.  Boss paced the trio with a third-place finish (19:10.52), while Galano (19:41.29) and Studebaker (20:11.96) crossed the line in sixth and eighth, respectively.  Boss's time in the race ranks ninth on the school's all-time performers list.

First-year thrower Rebecca Fritch placed seventh in the shot put (30-08.50) and fellow rookie Ashley Bartreau took eighth in the 800-meter run after checking in at 2:35.80.  The 4x400 grouping of Bartreau, Clark, Jillian Reagan and Anne McGinty rounded out the scoring with a sixth-place finish.  The foursome completed the race in 4:54.14.

Baldwin Wallace captured the team title after scoring 184 points, while Wooster took second with 149 tallies.

The Big Red returns to competition on Friday at the Ohio Wesleyan Open.  Events in Delaware are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
