The Denison trio of Aedin Brennan, Tiffany Davis and Emily Lamm swept the North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors.

Brennan earned NCAC Field Athlete of the Week honors after winning the 2013 NCAC Pentathlon on Sunday afternoon at The College of Wooster.  The first-year athlete won three of the five events and totaled an NCAC record 3,280 points.  Ranked fourth in the overall standings after two events, Brennan rocketed to the top of the standings after winning the shot put with a toss of 32-02.00.  The versatile freshman held onto the lead with victories in both the long jump and 800-meter run.  Brennan's pentathlon title gave the Big Red 10 points that will carry over to the NCAC Championship next weekend.  In addition, her point total ranks 12th in all of Division III with one week left to qualify for nationals.

Davis was named NCAC Sprinter/Hurdler of the Week for the second time this season following her performance at the DU Last Chance Meet.  Davis set a new fieldhouse record in the 200-meter dash after crossing the finish line in 25.71.  That time bested the mark set in 2002 by former DU standout Jackie Berner (25.82).  The junior also won the 60 with a time of 7.97.

Lamm received NCAC Distance Runner of the Week recognition after finishing second in the mile at the DU Last Chance Meet.  The first-year finished runner-up behind only Shawnee State University's Brittney LiPira.  Lamm finished the race 5:25.08, nearly five seconds faster than the third-place runner from NAIA Shawnee State.

The Big Red returns to action next Friday at the annual NCAC Championship event hosted by The College of Wooster.  Friday's festivities begin at 1:30 p.m., while Saturday's events are slated to begin at 10:30 a.m.
