For the second time this season, Denison sophomore Aedin Brennan was named North Coast Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week.
Brennan earned her second accolade following a strong performance at the Kent State Tune-Up last Saturday in Kent, Ohio. The sophomore had two top-5 finishes and two PR performances. Brennan broke her own school record in the triple jump on Saturday with a combined leap of 36'11.50". That mark landed her in third place and surpassed the previous school record by two and a half inches. The sophomore also finished fifth in the long jump with a mark of 16'11.50".
Brennan ranks 20th nationally in the triple jump with less than a month until the Division III Championship meet. She also boasts the 15th-best indoor pentathlon score with 3,270 points.
Brennan will look to improve on her pentathlon score at this weekend's NCAC Combined Events hosted by Kenyon College. Sunday's events are slated to begin at 12 p.m. As a team, the Big Red returns to action at the annual Denison Last Chance Meet on Friday. Events are scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
