Denison junior Aedin Brennan was named North Coast Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week following her performance at last Saturday's All-Ohio Championship held at Otterbein University.
Brennan scored 18 points and set one school record to pace Denison at the All-Ohio meet. The junior All-American won the triple jump with a combined leap of 37'11.25". That mark surpassed her previous school record jump of 37'1" set at last year's North Coast Athletic Conference Championship. In addition to her triple jump victory, Brennan also finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.31.
In her third season with the Big Red, Brennan is an eight-time NCAC Athlete of the Week honoree, which includes five indoor accolades. The junior currently ranks sixth nationally in the pentathlon (3,320 points), 14th in the triple jump (37'11.75"), 34th in the long jump (17'7") and 44th in the 400-meter dash (59.31).
Brennan and the rest of the Big Red return to action this weekend at the Kenyon College Classic. Events are scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
