Aedin Brennan was named the NCAC Athlete of the Week after her record-setting pentathlon win.

Fresh off of her third consecutive North Coast Athletic Conference pentathlon title, junior All-American Aedin Brennan was named NCAC Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week. Brennan set a school and conference record with 3,573 points in the combined events.

Brennan's school record performance came via four personal best performances, two of which set school records. Brennan's first record of the day was the 60-meter hurdles, where her 9.44 pace broke her own school record. She followed that up with a 5'2.5" mark in the high jump, a 0.75" improvement on her previous best.

After winning the shot put with a 34'5" toss, Brennan took her first lead of the day with a school-record leap of 17'9.75" in the long jump. In the final event, the Fairport, N.Y. native finished second in the 800, crossing the line in 2:22.73.

The Denison Indoor Track & Field team will resume competition this weekend (March 6-7) in Greencastle, Ind. at the 2015 NCAC Championships.
