Denison senior Aedin Brennan received her second-consecutive North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honor following a record-setting performance at the 2016 Division III All-Ohio Championship.
Brennan's day was highlighted by a school and meet-record performance in the triple jump. With her second jump of the finals, the senior pulled off a record leap of 38'11" which bested the previous All-Ohio mark set in 2005 by Wilmington's Doreen Nagawa (38'5.50"). Brennan's combined jump also bested her own school record by 8.75".
In addition to her triple jump victory, Brennan also finished second in the long jump with a leap of 17'11". Currently, the DU senior ranks second in the nation in the triple jump and 21st in the long jump with her performances at last weekend's All-Ohio Championship.
The Big Red will be back in action this Saturday when they travel to Gambier, Ohio for the Kenyon College Classic which is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
