Denison takes 14th at All-Ohio

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Denison women's cross country finished 14th among Division III opponents at the 2017 All-Ohio Championship on Friday afternoon at Cedarville University. From all three levels of NCAA, NAIA and junior college, a total of 40 teams competed in the 6k race.

Sophomore Erin O'Connor paced the Big Red with a 51st place finish among Division III teams with a time of 24:24.1. Of the 343 total runners, O'Connor's time placed her 160th overall. Freshman Tommy Solberg posted a 24:42.1, good for 63rd. Fellow freshman Sarah Radziewicz finished just 11 spots behind Solberg in 74th place with a finishing time of 24:59.1.

The remaining Big Red runners all finished in the top 100. Sophomore Emma Riordan's 25:03.8 was good for 77th, while Emily Grabauskas completed the race in 25:36.1 for a 91st place finish. Sara Lichtenberg (97th) and Phoebe Osterhout (100th) rounded out the race for DU as Lichtenberg totaled a 25:49.1 and Osterhout checked in at 25:54.4.

Otterbein totaled 49 points as a team to take home the Division III crown, while Kenyon had the best showing for the North Coast Athletic Conference with a second-place finish. Sarah Berger of Walsh University earned the top honor with a time of 20:52, and Otterbein's Claire Lamb finished 11th overall with a 21:57.7.

Denison will return to action next Thursday, October 5 when the College of Wooster comes to Granville for a dual meet with the Big Red.
